Requirements to Become a TaifPay Agent

1️⃣ Personal Requirements

  • Must be an Iraqi national

  • Minimum age: 18 years

  • Only one active agency per person (as per CBI regulations)

  • Must not have a previously terminated agency due to legal or compliance violations

2️⃣ Required Documents

  • Valid National ID and Residence Card

  • Proof of Iraqi bank account (bank letter or statement)

  • Municipal Clearance Certificate

3️⃣ Location & Business Requirements

  • Fixed physical business location

  • External sign displaying business name

  • Valid professional license issued by a government authority

  • Business activity must match license and signage

  • Office name must be consistent across all documents and location

4️⃣ Fees & Setup Requirements

  • One-time activation fee: 250,000 IQD (paid after initial approval)

  • Installation of TaifPay branding (internal & external) in line with brand guidelines

Eligible Business Activities

The following business types are eligible to apply:

  • Currency exchange companies (licensed by CBI – Categories A, B, C)

  • Mobile phone shops and mobile service providers

  • Tourism and travel agencies

  • Internet cafés and computer/game shops

  • Electronics and appliance stores

  • Grocery stores and supermarkets
